The Pinwheel Galaxy, or Messier 101, is a faint deep sky object at a distance of approximately 25 million light-years and is located outside of our own galaxy. The galaxy with its diffuse, chaotic structure is one of the most beautiful of the celestial wonders visible in the northern hemisphere.
